In this story Holly and her sister Carrie go to California for Christmas to visit their dad. On the trip all Holly can think about is her really close boy friend Jared. She is sad and disappointed because he gave a present to another girl instead of her. While in California she is falling in love with a boy she met on the beach. One day when she took a walk by the shore the boy who she is falling in love with asks her if she wants to meet him in the evening on Christmas eve for a walk on the beach. The next day (Christmas eve) as she was getting dressed to meet the boy she decides that even if Jared did cheat on her that she would need to forgive him.
