I read the book No Talking. It is about a boy who reads a book about a man who doesn't talk to concentrate on thinking. So he decided to do that to. But at lunch he challenged a girl to a no talking contest and every 5th grader joined. They could only say 3 word sentences if asked to speak. Even at home they could not talk. The principal did not like tis one bit, neither did some of the teachers. But for some other teachers they thought it would be a great learning experience. The kids had some troubles along the way but in the end everything just kind of smoothed out.
